I caved and bought HBP this afternoon.
My only excuse is that the price was *exactly* the price on the cover - no international mark-up.
After reading chapter 1, I had this thought:
What if the Half-Blood Prince *isn't* one of our wizarding folk after all, but a member of the Muggle royal family?
I know it's not very likely, and in fact upon reading what i've written i'm inclined to think it sounds a little like some really bad fanfiction, but after reading the first chapter i happened to glance at the cover and was struck by the fact that in England, the word "Prince" only applies to a very specific group of people.
we'll see what happens.
